Peter Huidekoper, Jr., coordinator for the Colorado Education Policy Fellowship Program, published the op-ed “Instead of “fixing” schools with federal dollars, fix their roofs” in the Dec. 11, 2016, edition of the Denver Post. “Republicans insist we address our nation’s crumbling infrastructure and create jobs. Democrats demand equity in school funding. Here’s a bipartisan proposal on how to spend federal funds for our K-12 schools — more wisely than we just spent $7 billion under the Obama administration. Fix their roofs and boilers. Make our schools safe.”
The Colorado Education Policy Fellowship Program is a ten-month program that operates under the auspices of the School of Public Affairs. The program has been in operation in Colorado for 20 years.
