Congratulations to Daniel Caballero, a BACJ/MCJ student who was named a University of Colorado Denver Academic Athlete! Daniel and other CU Denver Academic Athletes were honored at an event with Chancellor Dorothy Horrell on Oct. 28, 2016.
An Academic Athlete is an undergraduate student who is currently enrolled for 12 or more credit hours, and who has maintained a 4.0 grade point average for the past two semesters (excluding the summer semester) while carrying 12 or more credit hours each semester.
Awardees are presented with a fleece vest embroidered with a special academic athlete logo. If academic excellence is sustained for multiple years, a “star” is given to pin on the vest. They also receive a tuition credit for the spring semester.
This is the second time that Daniel has been named an Academic Athlete. Well done, Daniel!
