1. Federal Applications and Game Theory
Tuesday, October 18  4 p.m.  SPA 4th Floor Conference Room (1380 Lawrence Street, 4th Floor).
Learn how game theory is utilized in Federal Job Applications. Game theory applies a range of behavioral relations for the science of logical decision making. Please email Brendan to RSVP if you think you’ll make it!

2. Working on Education Policy or Administration?
Wednesday, October 19  5:30 p.m. Terrace Room (1380 Lawrence Street, 2nd Floor).
A national MPA Alumni Survey indicated that over 10% of MPA alumni work in some area of education policy or administration. Are you one of the 10%? Considering attending the next Education Policy Networking Series. Register online.

3. Center on Network Science Webinar: A Network Leadership Approach to Program Development and Evaluation: The Regional Health Connector Program in Colorado.
Wednesday, October 19, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
This free webinar series, Network Leadership from the Field: Linking Research to Practice, is hosted by the School of Public Affair’s Center on Network Science. Webinars will feature a variety of topics to learn about the research, skills and practices for engaging in the “network way of working.” More information and the registration link can be found online.

4. MPA Student Association Debate Watching Party & Happy Hour!
Wednesday, October 19 6:30-9 p.m. Irish Snug, 1201 E. Colfax Ave.
All are welcome! The debate is scheduled from 7:00-8:30pm, but come early to socialize with your fellow students! RSVP on their Facebook page or email Join the MPASA Facebook page for event updates!

5. Emerging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) One-Day Conference
Friday, October 21  Golden, CO
ELGL is a premier association for local government workshops and national networking. ELGL is the only local government professional association in the country that encourages membership from all areas of the government arena. Members come from local government, non-profits, public affairs firms, students, as well as federal and state government. ELGL has networking and educational opportunities for you. You’re encouraged to attend the next one day conference in Golden, CO on. Details online.

6. Info Session. Paid Full Time Fellowships
Wednesday, October 26 5 p.m.  CU Building Rm #1100 (1250 14th Street – opposite side of Lawrence Street from SPA) Education Pioneers is seeking candidates for paid fellowships and full time positions that have an emphasis on education policy, access, and innovation for improved learning outcomes and student success. Please email Brendan if you plan to attend.

7. Gobbler Challenge (Food Drive for the CU Denver Food Pantry)
Help make a difference by donating a nonperishable donation. There is a box in front of our main office suite; please drop off what you can offer the next time you visit SPA!

8. Internships! Savio House
Savio House needs your help! Savio House is dedicated to eliminating violence, crime, drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse and neglect, and other destructive behaviors in families through care, support and education. They are seeking students to serve as interns for development and would love to hear from SPA students! Please email Krista Gomez.
