It’s Going to Snow: How Do You Know If Classes Are Cancelled?

Photo of snow plowWith winter weather just around the corner, students, faculty and staff should know where to find accurate information about campus closures and delays.

When inclement weather develops overnight, University leaders assess conditions and announce any schedule adjustments by 5 a.m. Those notices are sent to all university-issued email accounts, so that should be the first place you check.

Updates can be found in other locations, including:

  • Call the toll-free emergency info line: 877.463.6070
  • Check information posted on the campus alerts website
  • Sign up to receive additional methods of notification by entering your cellphone number and personal email account in the CU Portal
  • Check Denver area television and radio reports

By signing up for RAVE alerts, you can receive weather info and emergency notices via text message on your phone.

Be prepared, and be safe this winter!
