Two SPA Scholars Headed to Cape Town in July

ASPA logoSenior Instructor Pamela Medina and Ph.D. candidate Sean McCandless  are among the 27 doctoral students and research fellows selected by the American Society for Public Administration to attend its 2016 International Young Scholars Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa, on July 20-23, 2016.

The theme of this year’s workshop is “Advancing the Understanding of Global Disparities in Public Policy, Public Administration, NGOs, and the Communities They Serve.” Pamela and Sean were selected for their work on racial and social equity, and community engagement.

Attendees are paired with senior scholars as part of the workshop. Pamela is paired with Dr. Gloria Billingsley of Jackson State University, and Sean with Dr. Maria Aristigueta of the University of Delaware.
