Assessing the Assessment: Testing in Colorado

Attendees braved a rush hour snowstorm for a Buechner Breakfast First Friday on Jan. 8, 2016, on the hot topic of testing in Colorado. The event was sponsored by the Rose Community Foundation. Janet Lopez, Senior Program Officer, offered opening remarks on the Rose Community Foundation’s interest in the topic.

Panelists included:

  • Jeni Gotto, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, Adams County School District 50
  • Oliver Grenham, Chief Education Officer, Adams County School District 50
  • Senator Jessie Ulibarri, Senate District 21 (Adams County)
  • Chris Watney, President and CEO, Colorado Children’s Campaign
  • Joyce Zurkowski, Executive Director of Assessment, Colorado Department of Education

The panel was moderated by Reilly Pharo Carter, Executive Director, Climb Higher Colorado.
