Moniz says Colorado is a ‘powerhouse for clean energy’ at Wirth Chair Sustainability Awards Luncheon

Photo of Energy Secretary MonizMovement toward a low-carbon, renewable energy future is gaining momentum across the globe, and Colorado is at the forefront as a “powerhouse for clean-energy innovation,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz.

Moniz, PhD, was the keynote speaker at the 16th annual Wirth Chair Sustainability Awards Luncheon on Monday in Denver. A sold-out room of 300 people as well as a cadre of current and former Colorado politicians, including Gov. John Hickenlooper and former Gov. Bill Ritter, attended the luncheon at The Curtis Hotel.
