CJ Faculty Active at ACJS Annual Meeting

The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences held its 52nd annual meeting in Orlando on March 2-7, 2015, under the theme “Broadening the Horizon of the Criminal Justice Sciences: Looking Outward Rather Than Inward.” Several SPA CJ faculty attended the meeting.

On March 4, SAGE Publications hosted a ‘meet the authors’ event at the SAGE booth to officially launch the new textbook co-authored by SPA faculty members Callie Rennison and Mary Dodge, Introduction to Criminal Justice: Systems, Diversity, and Change. The event was very well attended and the textbook has generated a great deal of interest.

Prof. Rennison also led an ACJS-SAGE Junior Faculty Workshop on “Teaching Research Methods” that garnered a lot of interest among conference attendees. SAGE has long supported and promoted the teaching of criminal justice through professional development opportunities and recognition programs for junior faculty.
