Criminal Justice Internship Teaches Success

Photo of student Valencia HillCriminal Justice majors learn in the classroom that it is possible for former criminals to successfully reintegrate into society. But until CU Denver senior Valencia Hill experienced that concept firsthand, she did not truly understand it.

During an internship with the Community Re-entry Project​, she watched recently released persons embark on new lives with new opportunities, which served to reinforce Hill’s own interest in a future career in criminal justice.
